Perks
In addition to competitive pay and great work experience, students may take advantage of a number of student perks. Depending on the requirements of your position, you may be eligible for free training on various software applications along with various in-house educational offerings, which cover such subjects as product sales training, soft skills training and professional development. You will be paid for holidays that occur during your assignment period, subject to local legislative guidelines, and students located at larger sites will be entitled to use any of Sybase's recreational facilities.
Student Events
Work hard, play hard! During the year there are many opportunities to socialize and meet students in other groups through informal get-togethers such as luncheons and barbecues. Interns and co-ops are invited and encouraged to attend all site events happening at their location.
In some of the larger locations, there may be events planned specifically for students, and we try to provide networking opportunities for interns and co-ops to get to know more about other groups and other potential opportunities. Some of our past student events include, movie nights, Taco Tuesday and Waffle Wednesday, laser tag, foosball tournaments, candy potluck and pizza parties. Additionally, you may be invited to participate in a focus group or roundtable to discuss your assignment and share thoughts about working at Sybase.
