Sybase Silver Partner Program

Benefits

  • Provides partners with an easy entry point to being a Sybase Channel Partner
    • No revenue targets or forecasting commitments
    • No certifications, but solution education recommended
  • Discounted training –discounts for On-Demand sales and technical education courses
  • Dedicated Partner Portal
    • Online welcome pack
    • Sales and marketing tools and collateral
    • Partner newsletters
    • Product and technical support documentation
  • Access to additional technical support services (chargeable)

Requirements

  • Application process
    • Program application form and partner profile completed
    • Partner contract signed (MPA)
  • Annual partnership review
  • Solution sales and technical training requested

Management

  • Silver Partners are programmatically managed, no dedicated Sybase CAM
  • Marketing support limited to Partner Portal materials and campaigns rolled out across all partners
  • Minimum support included in the program (fee for service options available)
  • Sybase product purchased via distribution*
  • Limitations in the product set available to be sold*
  • There is no Silver program tier for distribution channel partners

  • Free access to on-line technical knowledge base
  • Access to Sybase software and development support methodologies, tools, check lists and templates

Requirements

  • Completion of program application form and acceptance into the partner program
  • Completion of the partner profile
  • Commitment to annual and quarterly business planning, reviews and reporting commitments
  • Meeting annual revenue target
  • Meet technical certifications  and sales accreditations targets (set by each country)
  • Submit a minimum of one success story annually for publication
  • Quarterly sales training session for sales
  • Provide level one support*
  • Meet minimum requirements set for product demonstration  facilities and capabilities

Management

  • Each Gold Partner is managed by a Sybase CAM
  • Contract schedules used to manage product category and restrictions
  • Option to purchase through Sybase distributors or directly (Sybase online eShop)

Geographic Options

  • Sybase recognizes that partners can operate beyond the barriers of a single country
  • Partners can apply to be regional partners
  • Global partner status is available by invitation
  • Global and Regional Partners must still meet the requirements of each country that they wish to partner with Sybase in

Sybase Gold Regional Partner Program

Benefits

All benefits of the Silver Partner Program plus:

  • Receive all normal benefits in each country where approved as a Sybase channel partner.  In addition:
    • Eligible by invitation to participate in Sybase customer events
    • Regional Channel Account Manager coordinating activities in the region
    • Regional business plan in additional to country based plans
    • A single Regional fee, rather than multiple country fees
    • Preferred joint marketing partner status

Requirements

  • Must be a Gold partner in 2 or more Tier One countries within the region
  • Commitment to regional sales targets, annual and quarterly business planning and reviews

Management

  • Country based management as per the program level held in each country
  • Regional Channel Account Manager

Sybase Global Channel Status

Sybase Global Partner Global partner status is available for VAR, SI and ISV partners

  • Global Channel Account Manager
  • Unlimited support
  • Additional joint marketing and event sponsorship opportunities
  • Single global program fee, rather than multiple country fees

Requirements

  • By invitation only
  • Must be an Gold partner in three Sybase regions and be represented in at least one Tier One country in each region
  • Commitment to global sale targets, annual and quarterly business planning and reviews

Management

  • Sybase ELT sponsor
  • Global Channel Account Manager
  • Country based management as per the program level held in each country
  • Regional Channel Account Managers may be appointed at Sybase discretion
