SQL Anywhere 10 Developer Edition Operating System and CPU Requirements
Note: To install SQL Anywhere
10 Developer Edition, the minimal free disk space requirements are roughly equivalent to twice the size of the download (e.g.: approximately
300 MB for Windows and 400 MB for Unix). The free space must be available on the drive specified in your TEMP environment variable. If you do not meet this minimal requirement, you may experience errors installing the software.
Please note that SQL Anywhere
10 Developer
Edition software
is currently available for download on Windows x86 and x64, Windows Mobile,
Novell NetWare, Linux x86
and x64, Linux Itanium, Mac OS X (Intel), Solaris SPARC, Solaris x64, IBM AIX, and HP-UX
(PA-RISC and Itanium).
SQL Anywhere includes UltraLite
deployment technology and MobiLink synchronization
server for Windows Mobile, Palm OS, and Symbian OS platforms.

Operating System and
CPU Requirements
For PC x86 operating systems, an Intel
Pentium-class or compatible CPU, is required.
For PC x64 operating systems,
an Intel EM64T or AMD 64-bit CPU is required.

SQL Anywhere for Unix also includes
Windows client support. To reduce the file sizes downloaded, iAnywhere has only
made the files for the above Unix platforms available for development or
evaluation purposes. If you also wish to evaluate or develop for Windows clients
connecting to the above Unix platforms, you will have to download the Windows
Developer Edition version as well.
SQL Anywhere can run with as
little as 4 MB of memory.
If you are running a SQL Anywhere network database server, you must have appropriate networking
software installed and running.
SQL Anywhere supports the
following network protocols:
- TCP/IP
- SPX (Windows 32-bit only)
