Dear Valued Sybase Customer:
As part of our integration of the Coral8 business into Sybase, we would like to invite you to upgrade to the latest version of the Coral8 product, re-branded and re-packaged as Sybase CEP. Sybase CEP has all of the features of Coral8, as well as new enhancements and bug fixes. Some of the enhancements include new built-in analytic functions, query processing optimizations, broader support for guaranteed delivery, full internationalization, a native high-performance Sybase ASE driver, RAP - The Trading Edition adapters, a licensable FIX adapter, an adapter allowing SL's RTView® product to be used for real-time monitoring and visualization, and support for use of Java for building custom in-process adapters and driver plugins. While we will continue to provide support for the specified Coral8 products through the date outlined below, you will be best served by planning to migrate to the latest release of Sybase CEP as soon as practical.
The table below indicates the migration path for each Coral8 product and the date when support will end. This letter provides official notification of the planned end of engineering support for this product line.

Sybase encourages you to begin migration plans as soon as possible to migrate before the planned end of engineering support to the supported product(s) identified in the "Migration Path" column as shown in the table above. Please see the "Migration Information" topic in the Sybase CEP R4 Installation Guide for a description of how to migrate from Coral8 products to Sybase CEP.
For customers having a current Support Agreement for a product who have elected not to migrate to a new product by the end of engineering support, continued limited technical support assistance will be made available, subject to the availability of resources. This limited assistance after the end of engineering support consists of providing existing interim releases (i.e., updates, if any, developed for the product prior to the end of engineering support), telephone and electronic assistance, and migration advice to customers migrating to Sybase supported products. It does not include engineering support, new bug fixes or integration of any bug fixes into previous updates.
