Dear Valued Sybase Customer:
I am writing to you today to inform you of some changes in support for the Sybase Replication Agent for DB2 and Replication Toolkit for MVS products. We recently introduced new versions of both products (version 11.5) and with these new releases, Sybase is ending support of older versions. These products have been removed from our price lists and are no longer orderable. The following table lists the end of life products by version number and end of support date.
At this time I am also announcing that Replication Agent for DB2 version 11.5 and Replication Toolkit for MVS version 11.5 will be the last release of these products that will support APPC connectivity. The end of support for version 11.5 has not been announced but is expected to be several years into the future.
Information on the current product set can be found on the Sybase web site, www.sybase.com.
Until the end of support date, support will be available as usual from Sybase Technical Support. This expert team will continue to provide troubleshooting assistance, software upgrades and other support services to all active support customers. For Year 2000-compliant product and versions, extended support may be available through Customer Service and Support on an Request for Quote (RFQ) basis. This is subject to other terms and restrictions of contract for such services. Sybase strongly recommends that you verify that all versions of Sybase products you are using are certified as Y2K compliant. For your reference, a listing of Y2K compliant versions of Sybase products can be found at: http://www.sybase.com/inc/corpinfo/year2000_index.html.
For all of our active support customers, Sybase will provide a free license upgrade to the current release of Replication Agent DB2 and Replication Toolkit for MVS as appropriate based on your current Sybase product set. Sybase Professional Services (SPS) is available to assist you, on a fee basis, with migration to these current versions of middleware offerings from Sybase.
