CodeXchange allows Sybase Developer Network (SDN) members to freely exchange code samples, utilities, scripts and other tools. The CodeXchange site also hosts collaborative development projects where users can work together on open source code or a tool in development.
Any SDN member can use CodeXchange by logging in with a MySybase account. You will be asked to provide a few pieces of information to CodeXchange the first time you enter. You're then free to browse existing projects, join as you wish and suggest new projects. You can also download pieces of code you find in any particular project and, more importantly, submit code or other tools that you have created.
Most Sybase products are represented in CodeXchange, and more are forthcoming. Help make CodeXchange the source for all Sybase code samples by sharing your own.
If you are having problems logging in to codexchange, or you get an error message about "unable to access" CodeXchange, here are two possible solutions:
Make sure you have a login to Sybase.com. Click the Login link on the right of this page. If you don't have a login, create an account by using the Register link.
Use the My Account link to check your account. In the middle of the page, in the section titled "I am a...", choose "Developer (SDN)" as one of your roles. That role has access to all CodeXchange materials.
Each project contains code samples and links to submit new demos or samples. Projects also may have sub-projects, which are listed on the main project page and will lead to other detailed samples in specific areas.
Some projects also use CVS or Subversion to store files and information. Those projects have specific instructions at the bottom of the page.
To find a specific code sample: Use the specific project link at the bottom of this page to access the project. At the bottom of each project are a list of files that can be downloaded from the project. Click on any of these links to download the code sample.
