MT Messenger

Use Short Message Service broadcasts to reach subscriber groups

Short Message Service (SMS) provides a secure, fast and reliable way to broadcast important messages to subscribers. Financial institutions, airlines, brands and media companies are using SMS broadcasting for corporate communications, customer relationship management (CRM) initiatives and mobile marketing.

MT Messenger is a service that provides an easy-to-use Web interface to upload and send bulk SMS to groups and database lists. Mobile Station International Data Number (MSIDN) lists can be uploaded, stored as a group within the application and/or scheduled for future message broadcasts.

Features

  • You can select a group of recipients from a pull-down list, add a new group or create one on the fly
  • Groups of numbers can be viewed and managed, and MSIDN numbers downloaded
  • Messages can be scheduled to be sent at a future date/time or sent immediately
  • The SMS message header, known as Alpha ID or TPOA, can be changed, providing personalization to the outgoing message (for example, in the subscriber’s SMS inbox, the message would appear to have come from Pepsi, MSN, etc.)
  • Comprehensive reports include information about the number of messages sent, when, by which operators and how many were successfully received by handsets
  • You can broadcast to lists of up to 50,000 MSISDNs (larger broadcasts can be accommodated, but require coordination with Sybase 365)
(Note: MT messenger does not enable premium message broadcasts)

Benefits

  • A broadcast SMS to one or multiple groups can be performed by non-technical staff anytime you want
  • Lists can be uploaded, managed and modified on the fly
  • Broadcast groups can be saved and stored for subsequent access
  • Broadcasts can be scheduled for immediate delivery or for future dates
  • Reporting tools provide immediate feedback about a broadcast’s status, including details about how many—and when—the messages were sent
