The Basic Installation Package for Mobile Office is structured to provide subject matter expertise for experienced customers who require only limited assistance.
This package assumes that customers possess significant in-house expertise in networking, handheld (if applicable) and groupware technologies. In addition, this package assumes internal availability of resources that are sufficiently knowledgeable to develop and document necessary system designs and hardware architecture requirements, as well as manage issues associated with overall system scalability and IT security.
Activities
- Pre-engagement conference call between a Sybase iAnywhere consultant and the customer’s technical representative to review technical specifications, software to be installed, network configuration, network account assignments and project logistics
- Onsite complete review of the current environment and the desired configuration
- Install, configure and test licensed Mobile Office servers (max of two; includes installation of DMZ Proxy if required)
- Install and test licensed OneBridge clients (max of five, available network connectivity between client and server is a prerequisite)
- Validate installed software as per desired configuration
- System demonstration and essential Mobile Office knowledge transfer (includes a walkthrough of the configuration for all installed components and a sample mobilized business process applicable for Mobile Office only)
