The RemoteWare Patch Manager Solution Package enables organizations to deploy and maintain Microsoft Windows operating system (OS) patches and updates on RemoteWare client-based environments. This solution package is designed to give administrators visibility into their environments, control over what and how patches are installed, and feedback on the success or failure of patch deployments.
Architecture
The RemoteWare Patch Manager is designed to integrate directly over the Internet with Microsoft's central patch repository. This design allows the administrator to manage new patches as they are released, view information about those patches and effectively deploy them to the production environment. The RemoteWare Patch Manager also uses Microsoft’s Baseline Security Analyzer (MBSA) to scan client machines for missing patches. A report detailing which patches need to be delivered and installed is generated from the saved results of this scan. Once a patch is chosen to be delivered, the patch is automatically deployed using RemoteWare's software delivery technology. The administrator can then tell whether the patch was correctly deployed and installed.
