The RemoteWare Schedule Monitor Solution Package is designed to interface between a custom database and RemoteWare, permitting administrators to schedule all RemoteWare server/client outbound communications outside of the RemoteWare Scheduler. This solution package includes a schedule monitor that reads from this database and implements the retrieved transactions as "just-in-time" scheduled sessions within RemoteWare. 

This solution package assumes that customers possess significant in-house expertise in RemoteWare, networking and database tools. In addition, this solution package assumes internal availability of resources that are sufficiently knowledgeable to develop and document necessary system designs and hardware architecture requirements, as well as manage issues associated with overall system scalability. This solution package requires RemoteWare Server v4.1 SP1a or higher, Microsoft SQL Server 2000 SP3 or higher and matching database schema requirements between customers’ custom scheduling database and the Schedule Monitor.

Activities

  • Pre-engagement conference call between a Sybase iAnywhere consultant and the customer’s technical representative to review technical specifications, software to be installed, network configuration, network account assignments and project logistics.
  • Onsite complete review of the current environment and the desired configuration.
  • Install, configure and test the RemoteWare Schedule Monitor.
  • Validate installed software is functioning per entire system’s desired configuration.
  • System demonstration and essential knowledge transfer pertaining to the RemoteWare Schedule Monitor.
