Get hands-on exerience on user interface changes, new language features, creating, deploying and testing .Net Web services, database support additions and Application Server deployment options. You will be exposed to the latest .Net features of PowerBuilder, including deploying PowerBuilder applications as .Net Web applications (ASP.Net 2.0), deploying PowerBuilder applications as .Net WinForm applications and the creation of Smart Client applications. PC03: Implementing Sybase ASE Cluster Edition

Architect, plan, install, configure, monitor and manage application service levels with ASE Cluster Edition. The session begins with an architectural and infrastructure implementation overview to help you explore the operating environments and hardware configurations that will work best with ASE Cluster Edition. You will then learn how to design and plan a clustered infrastructure based on the underlying Network and Storage System configuration (SAN), hardware, and high speed private/public networks necessary to implement Sybase Cluster Edition. Learn how to connect physical nodes, install and deploy the Sybase software required and maintain the clustered state. The session explores techniques in how to measure the performance of T-SQL queries and tune your query development for the specific requirements of your business. Take advantage of monitoring and evaluation tools and interpret their diagnoses into specific plans of action. Enhance your existing knowledge of the tasks you perform daily to evaluate the behavior of the Optimizer, and implement the most efficient data-change and data-retrieval T-SQL code in your queries and stored procedures. Learn advanced features and techniques in PowerDesigner, including Generation Template Language. This session covers an introduction to the PD MetaModel, as well as how to customize the PowerDesigner IDE to manage corporate meta data using extended model definitions and language files.
